!! WHAT IF 4 OF THE WATER PIPES CLOGGED UP...WHAT WOULD THE TOURIST THINK?? !!
!! DON'T EVER MOVE AN OFFICERS MOTORCYCLE INTO A DIFFERENT POSITION. LAW & ORDER !!
When you have a camera in your hand the first thing most of us do, is pass by the obvious. Why take a picture of a row of empty swings, a line-up of mugs at a store, logs lined up on the beach. It's just not interesting. It's repetitive. It's dull. Well, I'm saying, look twice!
Humans are a bit obsessed with 'the order of things'. We like our rows of food at the grocery store, the nicely set up displays of food. We like books to go in alphabetical order and our forks/knives and spoons set out 'just so'. But, it's dull, until you have a camera! I made it my project to LOOK AT ORDER and I found it really artistic. We put puzzles together and yes, the pieces are all different but, there is order to puzzles.
!! MEDICINAL CHINESE JARS ARE LINED UP AND LABELED..DO YOU KNOW WHY THEY ARE BEHIND THE COUNTER?? !!
My biggest mishap usually occurs when order is disrupted. When you go into the grocery store and you really want an orange that is half-way down the perfectly placed pyramid. You pull it out and like 'pick-up-sticks' half of them roll off the shelf. They plop at your feet and roll into the other shoppers or under other displays. You start to sweat, your heart beats faster, you want it to STOP before the man with the green apron appears. Order can lead to chaos.
!! THERE IS A FLAG MISSING IN THE MIDDLE...and, IT DOES BOTHER ME !!
Children get excited when they have order. They feel safe, correct and it builds self-esteem. So, when you mess with it there will be repercussions. Don't take away one doll from a doll set and expect your child to be calm and accepting. They will suck up your entire day looking for that one missing doll in the line-up. You better know where it is!
!! IF the bins were not in a row, what would the GARBAGE MAN DO?? !!
What about the paid employees at stores like Ikea, Safeway, Staples etc... they are paid to make sure every item is in place. To be out of place is to be yelled at by the boss as we wouldn't dare want one mug facing the wrong way.
!! THE DESIRE TO TAKE ONE OF THE MUGS OUT OF THE LINE-UP IS HUGE !!
Our obsession with order; where does it come from? Colours must co-ordinate too, ask fashion designers. Mixing and matching is allowed to a point, but don't put the underwear beside the designer purses and don't put the prune juice beside the spaghetti sauce. It leads to discomfort. We don't want people to feel UNCOMFORTABLE.
!! HOW EASY IT WOULD BE TO DISRUPT AN EMPLOYEE JUST LOOKING AT THESE BRUSHES !!
So, I did my duty. My ORDER OF THINGS by putting on my matching clothes, driving lawfully and finding 'order' in the city. No-one wants CHAOS! or, do they?
.... Does this dog really care about 'The Order of Things?' ......
